Welcome to the very first Official Green Hotel Newsletter!
First and foremost, we hope everyone is safe and well during these difficult times.
Here at the Green Hotel, we have only open for key workers during lockdown, however, we decided that from the start of June we would initially open for 4 days a week for take away. A simple click and collect or call and collect option gave the locals of Kinross another choice for some freshly made, tasty food. A few weeks into June, we changed our opening times to 7 days a week and started selling take away pints of fresh Tennents Lager. This went down a storm in the first weekend selling over 200 pints!
In preparation of being able to open an al fresco dining option, a marquee was invested in as well as extra picnic tables which many have seen erect at the side of the hotel’s main entrance. The marquee has been fitted with internal lighting, external infra-red heaters and a 50 Inch HD TV with Sky. Social distancing measures are already in operation and an app to order your food and drinks will shortly be available offering ‘order to table’ and contactless payments. Alas, our planned opening was delayed due to the First Minister not allowing al fresco activities as first planned on the 19th June.
No matter, we are now even more ready to serve our customers, with opening times from 10am daily and serving breakfast, hot beverages, snacks, light lunches and great pub food – all washed down with your favourite tipple!
We will have a host of live sports on the TV, and plenty of out-door space for all the children to get out and enjoy the weather.
